Chaque ann\u00e9e, mi Juin, Biarritz est l’endroit il faut \u00eatre! Certains diront que c’est un event de hipster, d’autres que c’est de plus en plus un \u00e9v\u00e9nement de masse… Quoique vous puissiez entendre, vous devez d’y \u00eatre… Au moins pour vous faire votre propre opinion. Nous y allons depuis la premi\u00e8re \u00e9dition au phare de Biarritz, et bien entendu, l’\u00e9v\u00e8nement a bien \u00e9volu\u00e9 depuis. Mais c’est toujours une bonne excuse pour prendre quelques jours et passer un bon moment entre potes.<\/p>\n

Cette ann\u00e9e, le temps a \u00e9t\u00e9 encore un peu capricieux, mais finalement pas si mal que \u00e7a. Le village a d\u00fb \u00eatre relocalis\u00e9 \u00e0 la halle d’Ibarritz \u00e0 cause du vent et de la pluie durant les jours d’installation. Un peu moins sexy que d’habitude mais probablement mieux que de passer 5 jours \u00e0 patauger dans la boue…<\/p>\n

Comme l’ann\u00e9e derni\u00e8re, nous avons pris part \u00e0 al curse de Flat Track El Rollo. Quand nous sommes arriv\u00e9s \u00e0 la piste le matin de la course, il pleuvait \u00e9normement et la piste \u00e9tait si boueuse qu’on pensait que la course serait malheureusement annul\u00e9e. Finalement la pluie a fini par s’arr\u00eater assez vite et le soleil est revenu. Le programme fut d\u00e9cal\u00e9 de quelques heures et nous avons finalement pu rouler sur une piste tout \u00e0 fait correcte.<\/p>\n

Ma cat\u00e9gorie \u00e9tait un peu fourre tout… Pas \u00e9vident de rouler contre des 450 modernes de cross ou enduro… Mais le principal \u00e9tait de s’\u00e9clater. J’ai eu la chance de rouler une manche avec Wilfried Delestre, le quadruple champion de France et le mythique Jean-Michel Bayle #111. Un pur moment… Malgr\u00e9 tout cela, j’ai r\u00e9ussi \u00e0 me hisser en finale, mais dans le premier virage, coinc\u00e9 dans le meute, ma roue a \u00e9t\u00e9 touch\u00e9e et je me suis retrouv\u00e9 compl\u00e8tement \u00e0 l’ext\u00e9rieur du virage \u00e0 l’arri\u00e8re… J’ai pu finalement repasser quelques pilotes mais n’ai pas pu me qualifier pour la super finale. Pas tr\u00e8s grave car on a pass\u00e9 un super moment.<\/p>\n

Le W&W est aussi une bonne occasion de voir tant des gens, des styles et des motos de tout horizon… Beaucoup de bons photographes documentent magnifiquement cet \u00e9v\u00e8nement et vous avez probablement d\u00e9j\u00e0 du voir pas mal d’images sur le web.
