Je pr\u00e9f\u00e8re des motos r\u00e9centes pour les projets de clients. La raison principale c’est la fiabilit\u00e9 et l’aspect s\u00e9curit\u00e9. La plupart de nos clients n’ont pas la connaissance des vieilles machines ni des notions de m\u00e9canique.<\/p>\n

Soit Une Velocette scrambler d\u2019usine de 1955 ou une Matchless G80 TCS de 1960 \u2013 les scramblers, desert sled ou moto TT sont parfaites pour moi. La Velocette est une moto \u00e9tonnante avec des solutions int\u00e9ressantes aux probl\u00e8mes qui n\u2019existent probablement pas et la Matchless un desert sled brut sans compromis.<\/p>\n

En roulant \u00e0 travers l\u2019Inde, j\u2019ai \u00e9t\u00e9 poursuivi par un singe plus grand que mon fr\u00e8re, qui semblait avoir des intentions douteuses\u2026 Ma petite Royal Enfield n\u2019\u00e9tait pas tr\u00e8s puissante mais elle m\u2019a malgr\u00e9 tout permis d\u2019\u00e9chapper \u00e0 ses griffes poilues et je pense, ses intentions amoureuses\u2026<\/p>\n

C\u2019est un peu clich\u00e9 mais je pense que lorsque vous construisez ou cr\u00e9ez quelque chose vous puisez votre inspiration de diff\u00e9rentes choses ou de personnes autour de vous. Je construis exactement ce dont j\u2019ai envie mais je ne peux pas honn\u00eatement vous certifier qu\u2019une couleur n\u2019a pas \u00e9t\u00e9 influenc\u00e9e par une pochette d\u2019album ou un costume de mac des ann\u00e9es 70 que j\u2019aurais vu dans un vieux film douteux.<\/p>\n

Temp\u00e9tueux, intransigeant et auto-critique (est-ce que c\u2019est deux mots?…)<\/p>\n

Je suis actuellement en formation sur les nouveaux medias. Les motos et les pi\u00e8ces, c\u2019est un \u00e0 c\u00f4t\u00e9. Mais je pense que si je pouvais repartir de z\u00e9ro, j\u2019aimerais travailler et restaurer des vielles machines \u00e0 l’\u00e9chelle industrielle \u2013 tout ce qui touche aux vielles locomotives \u00e0 vapeur comme Fairbanks-Morse ou des avions comme le Lockeed Electra 10E (le type d\u2019avion de Amela Earhart), ou encore des hors-bords classiques et bien entendu des voitures et motos classiques.<\/p>\n

Hormis de continuer \u00e0 fa\u00e7onner mon go\u00fbt et int\u00e9r\u00eat pour tout ce qui a un moteur, c\u2019est aussi un rappel pour simplement faire ce que tu aimes \u2013 et j\u2019adore bricoler des motos, rouler avec des potes et manger de la terre et de la poussi\u00e8re sur des chemins. Je ne pense pas que cela doit \u00eatre plus compliqu\u00e9 que cela.<\/p>\n

Mon id\u00e9e originale \u00e9tait de seulement modifier l\u00e9g\u00e8rement la moto avec quelques touches et modifications subtiles pour lui donner un peu plus de personnalit\u00e9 et sans rentrer dans une grosse pr\u00e9paration\u2026 J\u2019ai loup\u00e9 la mission ! Probablement la Panigale, c\u2019est la seule moto que j\u2019ai eue et que je n\u2019ai pas modifi\u00e9e\u2026 Presque pas \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n

Les motos te font vivre tant d\u2019exp\u00e9riences, mais j\u2019en ai une r\u00e9cente qui me revient \u00e0 l\u2019esprit. J\u2019ai pass\u00e9 une journ\u00e9e enti\u00e8re \u00e0 essayer de red\u00e9marrer un CX500 fraichement restaur\u00e9, tout semblait ok et \u00e0 sa place mais quelque chose n\u2019allait pas. La journ\u00e9e se transformait petit \u00e0 petit en sombre cauchemar et tous les gens autour de moi avaient bien compris mon \u00e9nervement. J\u2019avais mis en place un r\u00e9servoir de fortune le temps de la pr\u00e9paration, qui consistait en une simple durite et un petit entonnoir. J\u2019avais mis une attache sous l\u2019entonnoir pour accrocher la durite mais je l\u2019avais serr\u00e9 trop fort\u2026l\u2019essence ne coulait pas\u2026 J\u2019ai pass\u00e9 la journ\u00e9e \u00e0 chercher d\u2019o\u00f9 pouvait venir la panne et apr\u00e8s 11 heures, j\u2019ai d\u00e9couvert le probl\u00e8me. Une fois solutionn\u00e9, la moto a d\u00e9marr\u00e9 au quart de tour !<\/p>\n

Je pense que je suis inspir\u00e9 par beaucoup de choses diff\u00e9rentes. J\u2019ai aussi un style que j\u2019aimerais secouer, tout fini par se ressembler. Je r\u00e9fl\u00e9chis en 3 \u00e9tapes: le but, les proportions et ensuite la personnalit\u00e9<\/p>\n

Je ne suis pas r\u00e9ellement un pr\u00e9parateur. Je travaille comme designer et j\u2019ai ma propre agence. La pr\u00e9paration de moto est simplement un soulagement de gratter l\u00e0 o\u00f9 cela me d\u00e9mange\u2026<\/p>\n

Je ne l\u2019aurais peut-\u00eatre jamais vu si vous ne m\u2019aviez pas pos\u00e9 la question. J\u2019ai donc regard\u00e9 l\u2019original et la suite plus r\u00e9cente et je pense que ces deux films repr\u00e9sentent bien ce qu\u2019est la moto. Mais le dimanche, en g\u00e9n\u00e9ral vous me trouverez plut\u00f4t dans mon atelier, ou, si le temps le permet, en train d\u2019essayer une de mes pr\u00e9parations.<\/p>\n
