At Age of Glory, as we mentioned earlier, our aim is to create lifestyle garments that combine the style of vintage motorcycle clothing with a workwear and heritage spirit.
We started from a simple observation: traditional motorcycle gear did not match our vision of motorcycle fashion.
So, we try to design motorcycle garments that merge our love for vintage aesthetics, the robustness of workwear, and the spirit of classic motorcycles — with the idea that these garments can be worn both in everyday life and on the bike.
That’s why we decided to create a new certified motorcycle pant, inspired by carpenter pants, reinterpreting and adapting it to our universe. In our current approach of offering workwear and lifestyle garments, this carpenter-style pant is the perfect addition to complete our collection, following the success of our Craftsman Jacket.
From the worker pant to the “fashion” pant…
Created in the 1970s, the Carpenter Pant was originally designed, as its name suggests, for carpenters. It was made for hard work and demanding movements, featuring elements that remain very relevant today: reinforced knees, multiple pockets, and a loose fit.
Slowly but surely, carpenter pants started to be worn not only as a work tool but also as a fashion accessory. In the 1990s, some brands revisited this pant with new fabrics, new colors, and also new cuts. This allowed the famous carpenter pant to become more mainstream, and celebrities gradually began to adopt it as well.
By the late 1990s and early 2000s, workwear style was becoming increasingly popular and reaching new audiences. With its focus on comfort, practicality, and protection (the original features of the carpenter pant), skaters progressively helped popularize it in the streets, making it a must-have of streetwear culture.
Today, the carpenter pant has become a true fashion essential. Many brands have developed their own versions of it, and luxury houses have followed suit — with Louis Vuitton as an example.
Our own interpretation: The Service Pant
For our part, we have reinterpreted the carpenter pant in our own way, adding features adapted to motorcycle use in everyday life.
A slightly slimmer fit, the addition of discreet pockets to insert removable certified protectors, and a strong, durable fabric. This pant can be worn just as well on a motorcycle as in everyday life.
